MY STORY
How I Got Here
My coaching journey didn't start when I left Microsoft: it already started the moment I became a manager.
Having grown up in Germany and worked across Belgium, France, the US, and Dubai before landing in Palma, I've led teams across cultures and time zones my entire career. During the 23 years at Microsoft, leading international teams across Corporate, EMEA, and MEA headquarters, I kept seeing the same patterns: talented leaders getting stuck on solvable problems. Delegation that felt like abdication. Influence attempts that landed like manipulation. Careers that got stuck. Strategic intentions buried under operational noise.
The more I coached, the more I realized: this is the work I'm meant to do.
At Microsoft, I designed and delivered the Sales Leadership Development Program for MEA - a program that shaped how the region develops its leaders. 1:1 coaching was the foundation of that work. I've helped 250+ leaders improve their leadership skills, adjust their management styles, drive transformation, and navigate career transitions. Leaders also come to me for the things they don't talk about publicly: burnout, work-life balance, figuring out what they actually want.

After two decades at Microsoft, I made the leap: leaving corporate life to coach full-time, with the freedom to challenge, support, and develop leaders without organizational politics getting in the way.
Between Microsoft and full-time coaching, I spent 2.5 years living on a sailboat, cruising the Mediterranean. Captaining a boat in open water teaches you things PowerPoint never will: fast decisions with incomplete data, staying calm when the crew is looking to you, leading through situations you didn't plan for. Now I'm based in Palma, still near the water, still learning.
Today, I combine coaching with my work as a Fractional COO for SaaS companies scaling into Europe. It keeps me grounded in the real-time challenges leaders face. I'm not a retired exec pontificating from the sidelines. I'm still in the arena, navigating the same complexity my clients face.

My Style
Most coaching falls into two camps: too soft (endless exploration, no clear direction) or too theoretical (frameworks you'll never use). I'm neither.
Direct & Pragmatic
I won't dance around issues. If something's not working, I'll tell you. If you're avoiding something, I'll call it out. Growth happens when you're uncomfortable and I won't let you off the hook.
Coaching & Mentoring
Sometimes you need the right questions. Sometimes you need someone to tell you what they see. I blend both: adapting to what you actually need in the moment, not what a method says I should do.
